Yolanda Gail Hammond, 63, of Lubbock, Texas passed away Sunday August 22, 2021. She was born September 26, 1957 in Fairbanks Alaska territory to James Porter and Vonda (Vanhoose) Hickman. She married Mickey West of Mineral Wells, Texas on November 19, 1976 and was later married to Joseph Hammond in 1982.

Gail attended high school in Nuremberg, Germany and had lived in many places before settling in Lubbock, Texas. She worked as a Med-Tech at Brookdale Assisted Living Center and was happiest when helping to care for the residents of Brookdale.

Gail loved to paint, she was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia, but of course, her favorite hobby was shopping.

Gail is survived by; her parents James and Vonda Hickman; daughters, Lindsay West and Jordan Hammond; son, Jared Hammond and wife Deidre Hammond; brother, James Hickman Jr. and wife Diana Hickman; sister, Alesia (Hickman) Rodriguez; and nine grandchildren.
