Wanda "Jo" (Ribble) O'Brien, 90, of Lubbock formerly of Crosbyton passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1926 in Sudan, Texas to O.W. and Zena Mae (Eaton) Ribble. Jo met the love of her life Allison "Al" Frances O'Brien and they married on October 26, 1946 in Lubbock. She grew up and attended schools in Lubbock, graduating from Lubbock High School, and then later attended Christian College in Missouri. Jo was a homemaker, who loved to craft, cook, and play bridge, as well as travel and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; O.W. and Zena ; and her husband, Al.
Jo is survived by her daughter, Cinda Givens and husband Preston of Spur; her son, Tommy O'Brien and wife Susan of Abilene; her brother, Sammy Ribble and wife Judy of Lubbock; four grandchildren; Heath Givens of Spur; Kandice Bell of Leander; Eric O'Brien of Tulsa, OK; Adam O'Brien of Seattle, WA; six great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn Price; Madison Givens; Appolynne Bell; Weslyn Givens; Charlie Dill; and Ashton Bell.
Visitation will be held from 5pm -6pm on Tuesday, March 22, at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton. Graveside services will be held at 11am Wednesday, March 23, at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
