Wanda LaJoyce Crump passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021.  She was born December 31, 1934 in Quinton, OK to Elmer and Tressa McKee.  The family moved to Alpaugh, CA when Wanda was young and she became a California girl.  She met Owen, who was serving in the Navy, through mutual friends.  They were married November 26, 1953 in McFarland, CA.

Upon Owen's discharge from the Navy, the couple moved to Crosbyton, TX.  While Wanda was a homemaker, she had a summer job of managing the Crosbyton swimming pool, where she also taught local children how to swim.  Wanda was involved in many community events and activities including chaperoning high school dances and teaching a women's exercise class at the community center, was a local Girl Scout leader and day camp leader.  She loved fashion and did modeling for area clubs and helped young women in various pageants.  Wanda was a member of Study Club and United Methodist Women.

Wanda is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie Cavanagh of Lubbock, TX and Scarlet Bromley (Scott) of Lovington, NM, nephew Greg Thomas (Jane) of Chacon, NM.  Wanda had 6 grandchildren:  Jason, Jennifer, Alyssa, Michael, Kristin and Justin.  She had 6 great grandchildren:  Shane, Landon, Lyle, Rayce, Berkeley and Emersyn.

Wanda was preceded in death by the love of her life Owen, 2 sisters Laura Garrett and Helen Hiestand and her parents Elmer and Tressa McKee.
