Lubbock
Walton Dale Wesley ("Walt"), 83, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on July 15, 2026. He was born on October 16, 1942, in Canyon, Texas, to Gus Harold and Agnes Marie Wesley.
Walt was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his first wife, Devara Gayle Wesley, until her passing in 2011. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work while raising their two children, Troy Dale Wesley and Brandi Kale Anderson.
In 2020, Walt found love and companionship again and married Suzette Stanley. He lovingly helped her with her grown children and grandchildren.
Walt treasured time spent with his family, especially at the family ranch. Whether he was practicing archery, target shooting, hunting, working cattle, or relaxing with a good cigar, he found joy in the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. The ranch was his happy place, where countless memories were made with those he loved most.
He is survived by his wife, Suzette Wesley; his brothers, Waldo Wesley of Plainview and Dean Wesley of Abernathy; his children, Troy and Melissa Wesley, Brandi and Andy Anderson, and stepdaughter Jill Stanley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brittany (Sonny) Graves, Katlyn (Austin) Ammons, Christian (Chelsea) Meadows, Kyler Green, and step-grandchildren Jaden and Kaylee Hernandez. He was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Walt was preceded in death by his first wife, Gayle Wesley, and his parents, Gus Harold and Agnes Marie Wesley.
