Virginia Ruth
Evans
Oct 13, 1938 — Sep 30, 2020
Lubbock
Virginia Ruth Daniel Evans 82 of Lubbock went to her new home with Jesus on September 30, 2020.
Virginia was born October 13, 1938 in Vernon Texas to Cecil and Edna Killough Daniel; she grew up in Ralls Texas and was the second of eleven children. Virginia was an amazing waitress for many years starting at the age of 14. We will never know how many cups of coffee or tea Gina served but you could know this that you never had to wait on a refill, it was already done. Virginia was most happy when she was able to spend time with her family. She had a great singing voice, and was a great cook, and she could play a mighty hand of dominoes. She was saved into salvation by grace at the age of 14 at the First Assembly of God Church in Ralls Texas at a revival, both her and her cousin Patsy were both baptized on the same day. John 14:1-3 Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in Me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, I would have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Euel Daniel, Gary Daniel, Preston Daniel, sisters; Wanda Daniel, Della Daniel Hobbs, and Norma Daniel Moore.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Rebecca Mata and husband Frank of Pueblo Colorado, one son; Devon Wheeler and wife Kim of Plainview, one sister; Ada McCutchen of Hereford, three brothers; Floyd (Buck) Daniel of Lubbock, Delton Daniel of Lubbock, and Lynn Daniel of Elgin. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Ashley Wheeler Barnes and husband Matt Barnes, Cody and Roxy Oursbourn, Brandon and Christina Oursbourn, Chelsea and Ashley Oursbourn, and 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
