Velma Contreras, age 51 of Ralls was called home into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on June 2, 2019.  Velma was born on June 3, 1967 in Crosbyton to Federico Castillo and Minerva Arredondo Castillo.  A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 7:00 PM and a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 6, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM in Ralls, Texas.

Velma married Joe Contreras in Ralls.  Her pride and joy was her family.

Those left to cherish the memory of Velma are her husband of 32 years, Joe Contreras, her parents Federico Castillo of Ralls and Minerva Arredondo Castillo of Crosbyton; her daughter Miranda Contreras of Ralls; her sons Michael Contreras of Ralls and Joseph Contreras of Crosbyton; her brothers, Federico Castillo Jr. and Suzanna of Ralls, Juan Jose Castillo and Lucy of Dallas,  Apolonio Castillo of Midland, Gilbert Castillo and John of Dallas and Guadalupe Castillo And Maria of Ralls; her sisters Maria Cortinaz and Octavaino of Lubbock, Belinda Delgado and Joe of Seminole, Velia Moreno and Johnny of Edcouch, Patricia Sanchez and Luis of Ralls, Sylvia Muniz of Houston, Sandra Castillo of Lubbock and  Nora Ramirez and Manuel of Plainview; her grandchildren Destiny Garza, Ethan Alcala, Courtney Alcala, Owen Alcala, Jazleigh Garza, Kain Alcala, Caleb Garza, Ella Contreras, Mikey Contreras, Lucas Contreras and Scott Montemayor.
