Tookie Maze, 90, formerly of Crosbyton, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Tookie was born January 30, 1926 in Crosbyton, Texas to Conda and Mattie Lee (Harden) Starrett. She married Clevie Maze on April 4, 1947 in Floydada, Texas. Tookie lived in the Crosby County area most of her life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crosbyton. She worked for Farmer's Union Insurance for many years and later in life served as a dorm mom at Clarendon Junior College. Tookie was an avid cook and she enjoyed sharing food and fun with the many friends she made during her lifetime. She will be missed.

Tookie was preceded in death by her husband Clevie in 1984; her parents; and a sister, Mury Ann Stanley.

She is survived by her son, Conda Maze and wife Judy of Houston.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Wednesday, December 21st, at the First United Methodist in Crosbyton under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
