Thomas Alford Rainwater, 88, of Lorenzo went to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 20, 2016. He was born April 22, 1928 in Crosby County to A.J. and Myrtle (Miller) Rainwater. He married Rosa Lee Ellis on February 13, 1959 in Ralls, Texas. Alford served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, working in the mess hall. He served on the Board of Directors for Lorenzo Co-Op Gin and Grain Co-Op Elevator for many years. Alford farmed in the Lorenzo area for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rosa Lee; his daughter; Lucrecia Edwards; two brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters; Lorainne Robb and husband Berle of Lorenzo; Melisa Fullingim and husband Coke of Petersburg; his son; Kevin Rainwater and wife Terry of Roaring Springs; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, November 22, at Lorenzo First Baptist Church, with burial following in Lorenzo Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6-7 pm Monday, November 21, at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.

Pallbearers will be Mike Rainwater, Andy Rainwater, Randy Rainwater, Carlos Rainwater, Larry Wallace, and Jeff Butler.
