On Monday, September 26th, 2022, at the age of 67, Steve Davis went to be with the lord. Steve was born on December 14, 1954 in Ralls, TX to Clyde Winford Davis and Virginia Pauline Heath Davis. On June 1, 1974 he married Brenda Sue McClure. Steve was a long time farmer in Crosby County and retired from BFI Waste Management.

Steve is preceded in death by his mother and father Clyde and Virginia, one brother Clyde Denny Davis Sr. and one Brother-in-Law Paul Ogle.

He is survived by his wife Brenda, Daughters Jenny Sue Davis Medina and husband Greg Medina, Misty Marie Davis Mendez and husband Danny Mendez, Dixie Davis Cantu and husband Brian Cantu, One sister Judy Kay Davis Ogle, 6 grandchildren, 3 bonus grandchildren,  7 great grandchildren and 11 bonus great grandchildren.

Steve was raised on the farm and took over operations in 1977. He has cared for the land ever since. Steve's love for all aspects of agriculture would never let him fully retire. The farm was always full of life with the cattle and fur babies he took in. His love of animals was always evident. He was on the Tractor shredding cotton just a couple hours before he passed. Even when not on the tractor he would often just go out and look at the land or enjoy a sunset never taking for granted what God had provided to him. Steve passed peacefully looking out over the land that he loved.

Graveside Services to be held at Crosbyton Cemetery September 29, 2022 at 11 am.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
