Stella Fay (Bingham) Brints, 97, of Lubbock passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. She was born in Young County, TX on October 26, 1918 to Wilkerson and Luevina (Elliott) Bingham. Stella married Woodrow Wilson Brints on October 29, 1936 in Benjamin, Texas. She was a member of New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Floydada and a former member of the Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce. Stella cooked for the Crosbyton Lions Club for 26 ½ years before retiring in January 1989 and was active with Harmony Plains Singing School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilkerson and Luevina Bingham; her husband, Woodrow Wilson Brints; her daughter, Christene Edwards; two brothers, Wilburn and Ed Bingham; and two sisters, Maria Bass and Geltta Harvey.
Stella is survived by her two sons; Norman Brints and wife Sydney of Vernon; Calvin Brints and wife Susan of Lubbock; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, April 7, at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Floydada. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 7, from 1pm to 2 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
