Schyler Smith, affectionately known as Sky, left us earthside in the early hours of Saturday, August 28, 2021. His passing came too soon but we are grateful for the 65 years of intense air guitar, freshly made salsas from his garden, and boisterous commentary anytime a UT sporting event was on. He was one of a kind and will be tremendously missed.

Sky's soul transitioned in the comforts of his home surrounded by his loving wife Karla, long-time dog companion Ozzy, big brother Brad, and his life's collection of first edition records. He is also survived by his son, Dustin Smith, whom he loved.

Sky will be laid to rest in his hometown of Ralls, Texas, where a private ceremony will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021.
