Ruby Nell Swindall, 88, of Amarillo and formerly of Crosbyton, passed away on February 27, 2024 at her residence. She was born July 5, 1935 in Paris, TX to Joel and Willie Williams Sanders.

She married Henry "Si" Swindall on November 2, 1951 in Crosbyton. They shared 63 wonderful years together before his passing in 2015. Ruby was very active in the community, having served as manager of both the Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce and the Crosbyton Housing Authority. Ruby enjoyed playing bingo, working jigsaw puzzles, going to baseball games and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Ruby is survived by two daughters, Melissa Moore and husband Meredith, and Kristi Casler and husband Daron all of Amarillo; two brothers, James Sanders of Mesquite, TX and Wayne Lee Sanders of Lubbock; and three grandchildren, Garrett Moore, Tyler Moore and Logan Moore.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Her family suggests memorials to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2024 at Crosbyton Cemetery.
