Romualdo "Mando" Olivares, 79, a resident at the Windmill Nursing Home formally of Ralls, Texas lost his battle due to the Covid Pandemic. He was born February 7, 1941 to Frederico and Maria Trevino Olivares, in San Ygnacio, Texas. He married Angelita DeLeon in 1960.

Romualdo was a farmer in the Petersburg and Cone area for fifteen years until they moved to Idalou, Texas to make a family. He went to work for a gas station in Idalou for about five years, and then went to work for Long John Silver's to be a crew chief leader up until his retirement. After retirement he spent a lot of his time selling used clothes and CD's at the flea market. Dad loved to listen to music.

He is survived by two sons; Rudy Olivares of Pampa, TX, Ricky Olivares of Ralls, TX, one daughter; Diana Olivares and her spouse Tony Cedillo, 5 granddaughters; Amanda (Marcial) Villanueva, Stephanie (Chris) Speegle, Allison Martinez (Angel Velasquez), Alyssa Cedillo (Jacob), Tabytha Cedillo and 7 great-grandchildren.

Romualdo was preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife Angelita, his brothers; Brijido, Adan, Rosendo, his sisters; Dora Olga, Eusevia, and a daughter Sylvia Alcala.

A special thanks to Outreach Providers during his stay in Ralls, his niece Allison Martinez, and Linda Beltran, and all the Windmill Staff for caring for him as a resident. We would also like to thank all the UMIC Covid-19 unit and Kindred Hospice Care for all their kindness and compassion.
