Robert T Turner

July 12, 1945 -- October 14, 2020

Robert T Turner was born July 12, 1945 in Odessa, Texas to Louise and Lee Roy Turner. Robert proudly served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam aboard the USS Forrest Royal. Robert attended the University of Texas and Texas Tech University where he studied physics and architecture. He worked in the field of electrical engineering throughout his career and worked his way up the ladder.

While attending Texas Tech, Robert met and married the love of his life, Patricia Poteet. They married November 22, 1973, he was devoted only to her and their love will transcend this world. He was a wonderful and honorable man who was a friend to many.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two of his grandchildren Jeremy Jones and Jessica Bayliss who left him 4 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Robert also leaves behind his soulmate Patricia, a son Ron Jones and his wife Peggy of Shallowater, TX; a daughter Christie Jones of Mineola, TX; a grandson Christopher Jones and his wife Heather and 5 children of El Paso, TX; a granddaughter Kristina Boyd and her husband Ryan and son of Lubbock, TX; and 2 little boys from College Station who call him Pops.

Robert supported the Wounded Warrior Project.
