Robert "Bob" Donathan, 76, of Lubbock, passed away, Thursday, November 19, 2015. He was born on June 21, 1939 in Roaring Springs, Texas to P.C. "Jake" and Ruby (Ware) Donathan. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran. He was also an active member of AA for many years. He was a mechanic for May Motor Co and then later owned and operated Circle B Auto and the Exon station in Crosbyton. He was then fortunate enough to begin a career in Alaska working on the "pipeline". He later worked for the State of Alaska which allowed him to travel extensively throughout the state. He spent about 25 years in Alaska. After returning to Ralls he owned and operated Ralls Auto Parts before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his father P.C. "Jake" Donathan; his mother Ruby (Ware) Donathan.
He is survived by his daughter; Lori Criswell and husband David ; his former wife and longtime friend; Pat McClure; three brothers; Tommy Donathan; Wayne Donathan and his wife Pat; and Cecil Donathan and his wife Carol; two granddaughters; Amy Lawrence and husband Brad; Kelly Davila and husband David; four great-grandchildren; Finn, Rowan, Wren, and Sarah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls, with Bob Adams officiating.
