Rita Reyes 72, of Crosbyton, Texas passed away peacefully and surround by her family on July 7, 2024. She was born May 22, 1952, in San Perlita, Texas to Juana Ornelas Gonzales and Marcos Hernandez Millan. Rita married the love of her life, Jose Guadalupe Reyes in 1967 in Gomez Palacio, Mexico.

Rita was the greatest wife and mother anyone could ask for; she was a great provider and caretaker for her family. Her biggest passion was her spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Rita also loved to crochet, take care of her plants, and dance. She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. Rita was a fighter who never let her medical issues dampen her spirit. With the unwavering support of her family by her side, she faced every challenge head-on and emerged stronger each time. She fought her illness with everything she had till her last breath. Rita will be deeply missed by her friends and will leave behind cherished memories that will be forever remembered by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, three brothers and one sister.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jose Reyes of Crosbyton; six daughters, Leonor Reyes (Francisco) of Odessa, Olivia Osborn (Robert) of Roaring Springs, Veronica Garcia (Pito) of Plainview, Melinda Martinez (Marco) of Floydada, Loren Reyes (Ruben), of Seminole, Yvonne Hadderton (Heath) of Crosbyton; two sons, Guadalupe Reyes (Janie) of Crosbyton, Angel Reyes (Adriana) of Crosbyton; one sister, Margarita Hernandez (Isidro) of Wichita Falls; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
