Reece Phillip Kirkendall 88 of Crosbyton passed away Monday March 26, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday March 30, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday March 29, 2018 at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

R.P. was born September 4, 1929 in Godley, Texas to T.G. and Hazel Himmel Kirkendall. He married Avis Hughes in Crosby County on February 24, 1951. He farmed most of his life and was also a realtor. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He had a very personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, his faith served him well.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Brandon Lowe.

He is survived by his wife Avis Kirkendall of Crosbyton, two daughters; Kay Burnam and husband Wayne of Amarillo, Kathy Stallings and husband Benny of Amarillo, one son; Phillip Kirkendall and wife Shelly of Crosbyton, five grandchildren; Amber, Brian, Clay, Jessica, Justin, and two great granddaughters. A catered meal will be served for everyone that attends. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Reeves-Rhodes Terrace and Carillon Memory unit for the excellent care they gave R.P. while he was under their care.
