Raymundo Chavez Quintero 85 of Crosbyton passed away Tuesday September 10, 2019. He was born on March 12, 1934 in Doctor Arroyo, Neuva Leon, Mexico to Jose and Altagracia Quintero. He married Hermelinda Martinez on January 9, 1956 in San Juan Texas.  Raymundo loved helping people and would often build whatever was needed to help that person. He farmed and worked at Associated Cotton Growers Gin. Raymundo loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Raymundo is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons; Cesar and Raymundo Quintero Jr., three brothers, and three sisters.

Raymundo is survived by eight daughters; Norma Sanchez of El Paso, Nelda Valdez of Midland, Janie Arredondo of Mission, Hermelinda Rejino of Levelland, Estella Martinez of Crosbyton, Julie Ramirez of Lubbock, Christina Ramirez of Lubbock, Kaci Rodriguez of Crosbyton, one son; Gilbert Martinez of Crosbyton, one brother, 31 grandchildren, and 57 great- grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday September 16, 2019 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the same church.
