Ramon Johnston, 89, of Crosbyton, went to be with his Lord on March 20, 2025. Ramon was born July 24, 1935, in Crosbyton, Texas to Joe E. Johnston II and Viola Robertson Johnston. He married Julia Beth Reed on April 18, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas. Ramon enjoyed hunting and was an avid gun collector, but his focus was on God and serving Him. He was a very active member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ, where he mentored some of the deacons and was always helping where needed. Ramon loved everyone and would help total strangers when needed, of course, he loved being with his family and spending time with them. Ramon will be greatly missed by everyone.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Joseph Johnston, and a brother-in-law, Dale Montgomery.

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Ramon Johnston Jr. of Lubbock, and Robert Johnston and wife Kerry of Lubbock, two daughters, Julie Wilson and husband Robert of Post, and Judie Johnston of Lubbock, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Julia Montgomery of Crosbyton, and a sister-in-law, Zane Johnston of Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 26, 2025, at the Crosbyton Church of Christ, burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Tuesday March 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
