Raimunda Lopez Medellin 84, of Crosbyton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 31, 2021. She was born November 20, 1936 in Pleasanton, Texas to Francisco and Tomasa Garza Lopez. She married the love of her life Marcos Medellin Sr. on February 13, 1960 in Ralls, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2011.

Raimunda was a woman of many traits; she loved to sew, makes quilts, and embroider. She was also a great cook, enjoyed baking and always kept a beautiful garden. She had a love for music, dancing, and holidays, but her biggest passion was her family and making memories with them. Raimunda also loved reading her prayer book and was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church where she was a Guadalupana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and three sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are; her three daughters, Sylvia and Jerry Pereida of Crosbyton, Rebecca and John Palacios Jr. of Crosbyton, Stella Martinez and Juan Ramirez of Smyer; her son, Marcos Jr. and Norma Medellin of Lubbock; three brothers, Ignacio Lopez, Pablo Lopez, Pedro Lopez; four sisters, Pifannia Bella, Simona Soliz, Ninfa Hutchinson, Loyesa Brocca; seven grandchildren, Jerry Lee and Lori Pereida, Mark Pereida, Monica Martinez, Rebekah Medellin, Marcos Medellin III, Leila Palacios ; and two great grandchildren; Emily and Ryan Pereida.
