Petra Resendez 72, of Ralls entered Heaven's Gates on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. She was born on October 11, 1948 in Robstown, Texas to Guadalupe and Petra Castillo Hernandez. She married the love of her life Felix Resendez on August 8, 1982 in Ralls, Texas.

Petra worked as a nurse's aid at the Ralls Nursing Home for 35 years. She was a very loving and happy person and enjoyed being around her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She also loved music and singing. Petra will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Amanda Cortez.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Sonya Rios, her son Joe Louis Resendez, her sisters; Ofelia Quintanilla and Juana Marin, her caregiver Tammy Fisher, and also 5 grandchildren whom she loved very much.
