Petra Rendon 84, of Crosbyton passed away May 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Petra was born January 21, 1941, in Matamoras Mexico to Samuel and Francisca Garza Medina, she married the love of her life Jose Antonio Rendon on December 18, 1960. Petra worked as a CNA at the Crosbyton Hospital for 26 years. She was a loving person who loved family and fostered many kids through the years, she also loved family gatherings, sharing good food, and talking about good times and laughter. Petra had a servant's heart, she served at church and served her Lord, she accomplished a requisite in the National Female Leadership of the Assembly of God Ministries.

Petra is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Pete Osuna, and sisters, Elida Mendez, Ramona Carranza.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Jose Antonio "Tony" Rendon Sr. of Crosbyton, children, Rosemary Chandler of Crosbyton, Tony and Kim Rendon of Lubbock, Freddy and Mariela Rendon of Lubbock, Richard and Evie Rendon of Lubbock, David and Ronda Rendon of Lubbock, Ronnie and Amanda Rendon of Ralls. She leaves behind three brothers and two sisters, Joyce Myers- Brown of Atlanta, Ga., Joe and wife Lydia Medina of Crosbyton, Sofie and husband Antonio Moreno of Lubbock, Sam and wife Velma Medina of Lubbock, Frank and wife Martha Medina of Olton,14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
