Pete Camacho, 83, of Ralls, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born on May 19, 1942, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to Margarito and Cruz Rodriguez Camacho. He spent his early years farming before beginning a long career as a truck driver, a profession he dedicated himself to until his retirement. Pete enjoyed listening to music and treasured the time he spent at family gatherings, where he was happiest surrounded by those he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Camacho, and his children: six sons, Robert Camacho, Pete Camacho Jr., Donnie Camacho, Richard and Lorrane Camacho, Roy Camacho, and Sam and Misty Camacho; and three daughters, Rachel Camacho, Alice Mendoza, and Margret Camacho. He is also survived by his two brothers, Donnie Camacho and Stephen Camacho; two sisters, Elida Fawver and Estella Camacho; as well as numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gilbert Camacho; his daughter, MaryEster Camacho; two brothers; and two sisters.

Pete will be remembered for his hard work, his love of music, and most of all, his deep devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
