Paul Rivera Sr., of Lorenzo, Texas, passed away October 16, 2026. He was born on May 23,1958 in Crosbyton Texas to Santiago “Jim” Rivera and Florencia Roa Rivera.

Paul was a devoted family man who found joy in the simple things in life. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed welding, farming, fishing, fish frying, and most of all babysitting his Z. Whether he was working with his hands or even sitting at home watching westerns on the TV, he found happiness in doing what he loved. He took pride in all his work, but above all he was proud of how all his children turned out. He will be remembered for the love he showed each of us, the sacrifices he made, the memories he created, and the long-lasting impact he made on everybody who knew him.

He is survived by five daughters, Celeste Rivera of Lubbock, Bridgett Burger-Sepulveda of Southlake Texas, Krystal Regalado of Las Vegas, Nevada, Laura Ruiz of Slaton, Renee Cruz of Las Vegas, Nevad; two sons, Paul Rivera of Lubbock, and Mario Torres of Lubbock; four sisters, Elvira Moroles of Edinburg, Elena Nevarez of Oklahoma, Alice Salinas of Lorenzo, Delia Rivera of Woodrow; four brothers, Jim Rivera Jr. of Price Thomas Ranch, David Rivera of Post, Fermin Rivera of Post, George Rivera of Post; twenty one grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Santiago “Jim” and Florencia Roa Rivera; and one brother, Angel Rivera.
