Patricia "Earlene" (Howe) Jared, 68, of Valparaiso, Indiana went to her heavenly home on December 2, 2016. Earlene spent the final year of her life living in Lubbock, enjoying time with her family. She was born March 4, 1948 in Seymour, Texas to Van Earl and Mary Olene (Studer) Howe. She married Errol Forsman on August 9, 1961 in Delta, Colorado. Errol preceded her in death on August 15, 1996. She later married William "Bill" Jared in June of 2001 in Lorenzo. Earlene was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved playing cards, working puzzles, and watching HGTV, but especially enjoyed the time she spent visiting with her family and singing.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents, Van Earl and Mary Olene Howe; her first husband, Errol Forsman; and her infant daughter, Sonya Denise Forsman.


Those left to cherish her memory are her husband William "Bill" Jared of Valparaiso, Indiana; two daughters; Kimberly Matlock of Lorenzo; Sheila McCay of Lubbock; her son; Christopher Forsman of Canyon; five sisters; Kathy Burt of Ralls; Vandra Wood of Idalou; Amy Orendorff of Lubbock; Oletta Spurlin of Wasilla, AK; Leesa Boling of Idalou; her brother, Willie Howe of Red Oak; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, December 3, at Lorenzo First Baptist Church, with Ellis Forsman officiating and Jerry McCay assisting. Burial will follow in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
