Obituary

Palmer Lee Hutchings, 99,of Crosbyton passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was born June 8, 1922 in Lamar County, Texas to Norman and Cora Senter Hutchings. He married Mary Carmon on January 16, 1946 in Paris, TX. She preceded him in death in 2000. He married Laura Henslee in 2009, and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2021.

He was a lifetime farmer and had a passion for the land. He had lived and farmed in Crosbyton for over 50 years. Palmer was a devout Christian and served as deacon at First Baptist Church in Crosbyton for many years. He was a loving husband, father and granddad.

Palmer is survived by one son, Tim Hutchings (Joanie) of Crosbyton; four daughters, Barbara Hunsucker (Noble) of Lubbock, TX, Kathy Dewbre (David) of Idalou, TX, Pamela Hutchings of Vancouver, WA, and Julie Phillips (Joe) of Dallas, TX; one brother, Mack Hutchings of Paris, TX; one sister, Alta Davisdon of Paris, TX; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, one grandson, two sisters and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in his honor to First Baptist Church Crosbyton, 300 West Birch Street, Crosbyton, TX 79322.
