Oscar Barrera, Jr., 72, of Crosbyton went to be with The Lord on December 24, 2020.

He was born June 11, 1948 in Inverness, Mississippi to Oscar and Lidia Garza Barrera. He served in the US Army, and was a Vietnam veteran. He married Eulogia Moreno on February 22, 1998 in Crosbyton. Oscar loved talking on his phone, watching old westerns. He also enjoyed keeping up with politics and sharing war stories.

Oscar is survived by his wife Eulogia of Crosbyton; five daughters, Lisa Ellis of Loretto, TN, Rachel Leyva of Westminster, CO, Briana Velasquez of Abiquiu, NM, Laurie Ovalle of Crosbyton and Lisa Cantu also of Crosbyton; four sons, Carlos Barrera of Pueblo, CO, Ryan Barrera of Ohkayowinge Pueblo, CO, Joe Luis Ovalle of Crosbyton and Lee Ovalle of Ralls; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Barrera, Sr.; mother, Lidia Acosta and step-father Domingo Acosta, Sr.; and one grandson, Jesse Ray Cantu.
