Oleda Jo Merrick, 81, of Ralls passed away April 19, 2025. She was born April 1, 1944, in Tahoka, Texas to Olin Johnson and Bonnie Wagner. She married the love of her life Edward Merrick, on January 25, 1970, in Lamesa, Texas. Oleda was very active in the church as a pianist. She loved cooking, crocheting, sewing and doing genealogy research. One of her greatest joys in life was dining out with her friends at the Jackrabbit Grill. Oleda was a great person and will be missed dearly by her friends and loved ones.

Oleda is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cynthia Ann Merrick Timms of Brownwood, her son, Micheal Edward Merrick of Merkel, her  great sister and best friend Jean Turner of Lubbock, two grandchildren, Austin and James, and one great grandchild, Lia.
