M.C. (Cleo) Simmons 93 a longtime resident of Crosbyton passed away in the Crosbyton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on February 14, 2017. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruby Rowse, on May 20, 1939 in Crosbyton Texas and they were married more than 77 years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, after serving his country he spent his life farming and working the land with his John Deere farm equipment.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ryan Parrish and Shelbi McClure.
Cleo is survived by his wife, Rube, two daughters; Janice Mitchell and husband Gary, Ruby Kay Dewbre and husband Jacky all of Crosbyton. He has seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and thirty five great-great-grandchildren.
