Melvin Dewbre, age 91, of Crosbyton, passed away September 9, 2026, at home in Crosbyton. He was born in Crosbyton to Milerd and Jimmie Lee Dewbre.
Melvin was a Mason for over sixty years. He served in the United State Airforce for three years, and the Army for seven years. He enjoyed playing his mandolin, harp, and guitar. He also had a love for hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, David Dewbre and wife Kathy; his two daughters, Cindy May of Dallas, Judi Jones of Odessa; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandson.
Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Boone) Dewbre; a baby boy, Timmy; his parents, Milerd and Jimmie Lee Dewbre; three son laws, Van May, Larry Reeves, and Jesse Jones.
