Melinda Tolbert, 72, of Crosbyton passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born June 5, 1951 in Lubbock, TX to Kenneth and Bobbie Knott Summerford.

She was a 1970 graduate of Crosbyton High School. Melinda married Tony Tolbert on July 2, 1986 in Belton, TX. She worked in marketing for Sallie Mae Student Loans for several years until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and her dogs.

Melinda is survived by her husband, Tony; Sister, Suzanne Sue and husband Bill of Ralls; two nephews, Colt Sue and wife Megan of Ralls, and Eric Summerford and wife Jacque of Montgomery, TX; three great-nephews, Noah and Levi Sue of Ralls and Ashton Summerford of Montgomery, TX; and two great-nieces, Hannah Sue of Ralls and Bailee Summerford of Montgomery, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Neill Summerford.
