Mary Maria Socorro Pereida 85 of Crosbyton went to be with her loving savior Monday April 2, 2018.  A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday April 6, 2018 at the Calvario Community Church in Crosbyton. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. A prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday April 5, 2018 at Calvario Community Church.

Mary was born November 29, 1932 in Fall City Texas to Lucio and Petra Garza.  She married Ausencio Pereida on November 15, 1952 in Sinton Texas. He passed away May 06, 2017. She was a member of the Pansy Baptist Church, Mary was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and working with beautiful plants and flowers. Her pride and joy was her pet dog Lolita. Mary was a retired teacher aide with the McAdoo School District and raised her family in the McAdoo Community.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson Christopher Joel Pereida and seven siblings.

Mary is survived by four daughters; Yolanda Anaya (Miguel) of Graham, Mary Hoffman (Phil) of Crosbyton, Melinda Pereida of Crosbyton, Ruth Pereida of Crosbyton, six sons; Oscar Pereida of Crosbyton, Joel Pereida of Lubbock, Jerry Pereida Sr. (Sylvia) of Crosbyton, Ausencio Pereida III of San Antonio, Hector Pereida ( Rebecca ) of Big Spring , and Leo Pereida ( Lori ) of Odessa. Mary also leaves behind her 20 precious grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
