Mary Beth "Beth" Igal was born December 14, 1940, in Paducah, TX to Mann and Delphene Dyches Young. She went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2024.

Beth married William "Bill" Igal in April 1963 in Lubbock, Texas. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Texas Tech University and a Master's from West Texas State University. She worked many years as a teacher and a social worker.

She was a member of Ralls Methodist Church and an active member of the community. Beth loved the Texas panhandle, living most of her life in the region.

She is survived by her son Saleh Igal and his wife Yoshiko of Irving, Texas; two grandchildren Hitoshi and Satori Igal; and one sister, Kay Prestridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Burnet Young and one sister, Chelsea Read.
