Mary Louise (Latta) Holland, 94, of Lubbock, Texas, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 25 th , 2021 in Tucson, Arizona.
Louise was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Bennie A. and Daisy Laura (Boucher) Latta, Jr. on March 30 th , 1927. She attended school in McAdoo, Texas where she graduated in 1944. Louise married Jackson Wame Holland on September 18, 1946 in Plainview. She and J.W. had three children, James, Mark, and LuAnn and raised them in Levelland before moving to Southern Arizona in 1967. In 1978, they moved back to Lubbock where she lived until 2018 when she moved to Tucson, Arizona to be closer to her daughter. Louise loved being with her family and was blessed to have many years with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking a big southern meal for family, baking pies, sharing her favorite memories and introducing old movies to her grandchildren, naps, See's Chocolate, playing dominos, needlepoint and reading books.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband J.W. in 2008, her sons James W. Holland and Mark R. Holland, her sister Anita Rabe and mother and stepfather Daisy and Pete Barton. She is survived by her daughter and her husband LuAnn and Philip Williams of Tucson, Arizona; a grandson Christopher (Kelly) Holland; granddaughters Elisa (Christopher) Oglesby, Tennille Williams, and Jamie (Daniel) Mulligan; and great grandchildren Trenton Holland, Gabriel, Ella, and Laura Oglesby, Wyatt Williams-Blair, and Penny, Owen, Evelyn, and Charlie Mulligan along with extended family, numerous nieces, and nephews.
Services for Louise will be held Saturday, June 5 th , 2021 at 11:00 AM at Bacon Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock with Rev. Ken Hayman officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM in the McAdoo Cemetery in McAdoo, Texas. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
