Maria Esther Uribe Luna "Weda", age 63 of Ralls, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026 surrounded by family. She was born on April 11, 1963 in Jerome, Idaho to Guadalupe S. Uribe and Juan H. Uribe Sr. She married her husband Arturo Luna in August of 2008.
Maria was a homemaker, a mother, and a great grandmother. She worked as a food service cook for Ralls ISD, a housekeeper for Brownfield Regional Medical Center, a custodian for Brownfield ISD, and a tortilla maker for Taqueria Maria Jesus.
She loved to listen to all kinds of music, dance, and shop at her favorite Goodwill store with family. Her favorite place to eat was the Golden Corral. Maria will always be remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dorina Sepeda and Melissa Luna of Lubbock; four grandsons, Joe Victor Garcia Jr and wife Julie of Amarillo, Aiden J. Garcia and girlfriend Fatima, Brandon Garcia of Lubbock, Xzavious Luna of Post; two granddaughters Alissandra Luna and Lilliana Luna of Lubbock; three great grandchildren, Avianna Garcia, Evelyn Garcia, Laylani Rose Luna; her siblings, Maria M. Rodriquez, Olivia Uribe, Corina U. Alcala, Trinidad Uribe Sr. of Ralls, Vencesiao S.Uribe, Olivia H. Uribe of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Luna; her parents, Guadalupe S. Uribe, Juan H. Uribe Sr.; her sister, Leticia Garcia; and her brother, Juan H. Uribe Jr.
