It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lucio Zermeño, a remarkable soul born in Crosbyton, Texas, on December 15, 1959, who peacefully departed this world on November 28, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas.
Lucio's journey began in agriculture at the tender age of 7, and it became a lifelong passion. He was a steward of the land, working with his hands on every project that came his way. A proud graduate of Lorenzo High School, He married Vivianna Casarez on September 10, 1988 in Ralls Texas. Lucio dedicated his entire career to the agriculture industry. His contributions were not just in the fields but in the wealth of knowledge he willingly shared with anyone who had the privilege of listening. Lucio's impact on the agricultural community will be felt for generations to come.
Lucio was not just a hard worker; he was the epitome of diligence and dedication. Whether tending to the fields, nurturing his family, or contributing to the agricultural community, Lucio approached every task with unwavering commitment and tireless effort. His strong work ethic set an example for all who were fortunate enough to know him
A giving spirit defined Lucio's essence. He was known for his selflessness, always placing the needs of others before his own. Lucio's generosity extended beyond his family, and to anyone in his community who needed a helping hand. His acts of kindness and compassion were numerous, leaving a mark on the hearts of those he touched.Lucio was a true servant at heart, always willing to lend a hand and serve others in any capacity. Charismatic and warm-hearted, Lucio had a way of lighting up any room he entered. His infectious smile and genuine charisma made him a beloved figure among family, friends, and acquaintances alike. In addition to his hardworking and giving nature, Lucio's love for his family knew no bounds. His love was a guiding force that shaped the lives of his wife, Viviana, and his children, Adrian, Anjelica, Andrea, Avel, and Cris McKee. His dedication to providing for his family was unparalleled, and he made countless sacrifices to ensure their well-being. Lucio's love was a beacon of strength that will continue to illuminate their lives in his absence.
Lucio Zermeño was not only a hardworking, giving, and servant-hearted man; he was also intelligent, possessing a wealth of knowledge that he generously shared with those around him. His wisdom, coupled with his caring nature, made him a pillar of support for his family and a respected figure in the community. A true man of God, Lucio found solace and joy in worship, study, and teaching the Word. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he generously shared his spiritual journey with others. Lucio is preceded in death by his parents; Florentino and Ignacia Zermeno, and a sister Eva McKee.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years Vivianna Zermeno of Lorenzo, three sons, Adrian Zermeno of Lubbock, Avel Zermeno of Lorenzo, Chris McKee of Lubbock, two daughters Angelica Zermeno of Lubbock, Andrea Ortiz of Hereford, and five grandchildren who lit up his life.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday December 4, 2023 at the Ralls Cemetery Chapel. Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday December 3, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.at Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Lucio's name to Idalou FFA, continuing his legacy of support for the agricultural community.
