Ralls
L.T. Starkey, 93, of Ralls, passed away on May 2, 2026. He was born October 3, 1932, in Lamb County, TX to Charlie and Bessie Malone Starkey.
He married Roddie Lee Stone on April 16, 1959. She preceded him in death in 2018. He later married Linda Isbell on November 10, 2018. L.T. was a peace officer in Crosby County, TX for 33 years. He was a founding member of the Caprock Peace Officer's Association, and at the time of his death, was the oldest living member. He was a Master Mason, and member of Emma Lodge for over 50 years. He was also a member of Scottish Rite. L.T. enjoyed doing woodwork and loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
L.T. is survived by his wife Linda of Ralls; three sons, Floyd Starkey and wife Sue of Ralls, Jimmy Isbell and wife Cyndi of Lubbock and Johnny Isbell of Lorenzo; three daughters, Janie Walker and husband Sam of White River Lake, Lee Ann Miller and husband Jerry of Ralls and Jeannette Turner and husband David of Lubbock; one sister, Nola Long of Pauls Valley, OK; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, and parents; three brothers, Johnny Starkey, Jackie Starkey and Zama Dean Starkey; seven sisters, Margie Cypert, Phyllis Gladson, Sandra George, Lola Jewel Starkey, Viola Starkey, Bobbie Hanna and Ersie Vancleve; and a grandson, Kyle (Blue) Isbell.
