L.J. "Sis" Dewbre, 70, of Crosbyton passed away on December 31, 2021. She was born August 21, 1951 in Lubbock to James and Frankie Dobson Dewbre.

Sis was a 1970 graduate of Lubbock High School. She worked in the automotive industry in some fashion her entire life, doing everything from  helping her father at his paint and body shop, working in a parts store and working for her cousin Jimmy at his car lot City Auto.

She enjoyed short stays at the casinos, going to the horse races and playing cards with family. She loved to play bingo and darts, usually winning at both. Sis was a past member of the Lubbock Dart Association and the Eagles Lodge. She loved music, and was an accomplished guitarist, played the fiddle, sang and even wrote songs, like Crosby County Blues.

Sis is survived by two nieces, Jennifer McClintock and her husband Jarrid and Julie Dewbre both of Lubbock; one great-nephew, Max Grubb and his daughters Amyra and Ezlynn; her great-niece, Kayla McClintock and her daughter Delaney; one uncle, Tony Dewbre of Crosbyton; numerous  cousins; and her best Canine friend, Freckles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James "Johnny" Dewbre.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Crosbyton with Rev. Ben Hitt officiating.
