Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Leesa Howe Boling announce that she has passed from this earth on May 9th, 2022 at 4:37 pm.
Leesa was the youngest child, born to Van Earl Howe and Mary Olene Howe in Lubbock, TX on September 1, 1963. She was raised in Ralls, TX alongside five sisters and one brother. Leesa had a way of making you feel like family from the moment you met her, and she always said that family was the most important thing in the world to her. She was such an inspiration, in that she  loved every single person in her family unconditionally. She loved and would give anything for not only those closest to her, but even friends or strangers and never expected anything in return. Leesa was incredibly artistic, and used that ability to create artwork for her business, to cook and bake, and most of all, to make music. Whether it was playing the piano, or listening to her beautiful singing, Leesa could change everything with song. She carried her passion for singing into barbershop music, and it brought her immense joy. She was the director of the local chapter of Sweet Adeline's, The Pride of West Texas Show Chorus, and sang in several quartets through the years, most recently with Rhinestones. Her family, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, and her singing sisters will miss her tremendously, and will never forget the mark she left on this world.
Leesa is preceded in death by her parents Van Earl Howe and Mary Olene Howe; her brother-in-law Errol Anders Forsman; her sister Patricia Earlene Jared; and her nephews William Brandon Howe and Brian O'dell Burt.
Leesa is survived by her siblings Kathy Burt, Willie Howe, Vandra Wood, Amy Gilpatrick, and Oletta Spurlin; her children Sarah and Siva Kanagaratnam, Sheena and Austin Escalon, Shiloh and Peggy Boling, and Sable and Aggie Taylor; her grandchildren Kyra Axtell, Drake Axtell, Kaeden Axtell, Daxton Axtell, Daphne Leatherwood, Charley Boling, Ryker Escalon, SahanaKanagaratnam, Kree Escalon, Chloe Taylor, and Stevie Boling; and her best friend, whom she worked beside for nearly 30 years, Maria Rosales.
