LeDonne Bass, 83, of Crosbyton passed away Friday, August 17, 2018.
LeDonne was born November 22, 1934 in Texola, Oklahoma to Tommie and Jessie (Woodring) Brooks. She graduated from Texola High School, Texola, Oklahoma in 1952. Following graduation from high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Charley Dean Bass on April 25, 1953, in Sayre, Oklahoma.
LeDonne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Rhonda Trammell and her husband, Ronnie Trammell of Edmond, Oklahoma; son Todd Bass and his wife, Mary Bass of Crosbyton, Texas; brother Tommie Brooks of Linden, Virginia; sister Barbara Whitson of St. Anthony, Idaho; 6 grandchildren: Karen Hatfield and her husband Darrell of Owasso, Oklahoma; Ronnie Dean Trammell of Victoria, Texas; Aaron Bass and wife Libby Bass of Jacksboro, Texas; Katie Dee and husband Jason Dee of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Meghan Bass of Leuven, Belgium; Paul Trammell of Plainview, Texas; and 6 great grandchildren: Sarah Hatfield, Drew Hatfield, Camille Hatfield, Charlotte Allen, Samantha Trammell and Dean Bass.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton from 6-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton with graveside service at Texola, Oklahoma at 4:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped take care of her and also to everyone that kept her in their prayers. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the LeDonne Bass scholarship fund at Citizen National Bank of Crosbyton, Texas. This scholarship will be set up to promote recognition of a student/students who strived to bless others around them and encourage others to be young men and women of character.
