Obituary

Laura Cornelius, 90 years young, passed away on March 20, 2018. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton.  Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. A visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Laura was born on March 6, 1928 in Wise County to James David and Ida Janett Wise Dulaney. She was a great and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Laura was a very artistic person and a talented seamstress. She loved to read and to listen to good old southern gospel music.  She was a long- time member of the Assembly of God Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a prayer warrior and knew how to reach God.

Laura is preceded in death by her husband, Ben L Cornelius, her son, Carroll James Howell, Jr., and her grandson, Ronnie Wayne Garrett.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lovell of Crosbyton, brother, Woodrow Cheb Dulaney of Florida, four grandchildren, Rhonda, Dawn, Vance and Lisa, Ten great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved as her very own children, John and Robin Dulaney and Tamra Evans just to name a few. The family would also like to acknowledge her close friends that also became part of the family, Vera, Judy, Linda, and Carl.

She was known by many names, Mom, Grandma, Mamaw, Aunt Laura, Auntie, and Friend and now she is missed by all.
