Lane Ewell Hickman, 62, of McAdoo passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016. He was born June 10, 1954 in Crosbyton, Texas to Guinn and Wilma (Buckner) Hickman. Lane loved to farm and till the ground, often riding the tractor and listening to his rock and roll music which he loved. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in his roses he grew. He loved traveling but would not want to stay long because he loved the McAdoo community and the people in it more. He also had a fine collection of Hawaiian shirts he loved to wear.
Lane is preceded in death by his father, Guinn.
He is survived by a daughter, Dana Little and husband L.G. of McAdoo; his son, Shane Hickman and wife Linda of Lubbock; his mother, Wilma Hickman of McAdoo; his brother, Dwight Hickman and wife Neta of McAdoo; his sweetheart and traveling companion, Darla Thomason of Spur; his grandchildren; Larron Little and wife Kacy; Jaci Little and fiancé Jacob DeWeese; Zackary Little, Raef Hickman and Brody Hickman.
A memorial service will be held 10 am Wednesday, December 21, at McAdoo First Baptist Church under the care of Adams Funeral of Crosbyton. Visitation will be held from 6-7 pm Tuesday, December 20, at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
