Obituary

Dean Taylor 95 formerly of Ralls passed away January 6, 2021. He was born June 16, 1925 in Memphis, Texas to Osburn C. and Eula Capp Taylor. Dean was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock; he worked for Pioneer Natural Gas and retired after 35 years having worked in Tahoka and Ralls. After his retirement he worked for Century 21 and Pat Garrett for several years. Dean served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and Korea; he was a member of the third wave of the U S Marines attack on Iwo Jima on February 19, 1945, he was a member of the Rotary Club and was a Rotary Fellow; he was a third degree Master Mason and past Master of Emma Lodge 931, a member of the Scottish Rite and Texas Alumni.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Billy Jack Taylor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Carolyn Prewett and husband Walt of Leander, a sister LaVern Blaylock of Las Cruses N.M., grandchildren; Todd Prewett, and Leslie Olsson, and four great-grandchildren.

Masonic graveside services with Military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday January 20, 2021 in the Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock Texas. Online condolences can be made at www.adamsfuneral.com.
