Obituary

Katherine (Wilson) Lawson, 73, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019.  She was born June 16, 1946 to Silas and Mary Alice (Davenport) Wilson in Benchley, TX.

Katherine married Mose Lawson on June 18, 1964 in Crosbyton.  To this blessed union of 55 years, three children were born.  She was a graduate of Christian Woman's Job Corp in 2014.  She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Crosbyton, where she sang praises to her Lord in the choir and was the church secretary for over 40 years.  Katherine was a member of the Women's Missionary Society.  She also worked at the Pioneer Memorial Building for a number of years and did housekeeping for various families throughout her life in Crosbyton.

Those left to honor and cherish Katherine's loving memory are her husband, Mose; her daughters, Pamelia Brown of Lubbock, TX and Bessie Shaw (Lee) of Garland; her son Michael Lawson (Sylvia) of Garland, TX; brothers, Cleo Wilson of Ft. Worth, TX, Jerry Wilson (Jenna) of Austin, TX and John Wilson of Clovis, NM; sister Rachel Carter of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Brian A Brown Jr., Tiffany Shaw, Shenequa Shaw, Michael Mc Intosh, Tyrell Lawson, Tiffany Hopson King, Jessica Hopson, Carlos Brrientos, Monica Gronholz and Amy Calderon; great-grandchildren, Noah Gronholz, Abel Gronholz, Luke Gronholz, Faith Barrientos, Ava Ramon, Brian A. Brown III, Winter Shaw, Amiya Shaw, Zaylan Shaw, Ja'niquah Carpenter Shaw, Bronx Johnson, Kolyn Odom, Kevion Mc Intosh, Kevin Mc Intosh and Kaiden Mc Intosh; nephews, Tony Carter and John Lee Carter.  She also leaves behind her closest and dearest friend Mrs. Lillian Moore.  You never saw one without the other.  They shared a special love and friendship for one another that will last forever.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Wilson, grandson, Michael David Lawson Jr. and great-grandson, Isiah Trimble.

Thank you Galilee Baptist Church Family.  You all stood by our beloved Katherine, from the beginning to the end.  The Lawson family loves you and appreciates everything you have done.  The Lawson family also thanks First Baptist Church family and the Church of Christ family for cards, visitation and telephone calls. Thank you to Hospice of Lubbock and Crosbyton Nursing Home for your love, comfort and compassion.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Adams Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Crosbyton First Baptist Church.
