J W Jackson 90, of Crosbyton passed away Tuesday February 7, 2017 at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Crosby County on, July 13, 1926 to Thomas and Esta Verna Ellison Jackson. He married Joy Crawford on June 1, 1948 in Crosbyton. J W served in the Marines during WWII and was a farmer for many years. He served on the Board for the CISD School, Crosbyton Clinic Hospital, White River Lake Development, and the Lighthouse Electric for many years.
J W is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
J W is survived by two daughters, Reba Roberson and husband (Sam) of Garland, Amy Harris and husband (Larry) of Crosbyton, one son Wade Jackson and wife (Louandra) of Crosbyton and a sister, Verna Ann Wheeler of Crosbyton. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Daniel, Mindy, Rachel and four great-grandchildren, Braden, Shandie, Marissa and Riley.
Graveside services will be held Friday February 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M at the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. A visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7 P.M at Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Online condolences can be made at www.adamsfuneral.com
