Juanita
Salazar
Aug 30, 1939 — Jan 6, 2021
Ralls
Juanita Salazar (Gorostiza), age 81, went to be in God's paradise on Wednesday evening, January 6, 2021. She was born in Edcouch, Texas to parents Carlos Gorostiza and Estefana Vela. Juanita had 1 sister, Francis Gonzales, and 5 brothers, Guadalupe, Panchito, Jaime, Frank and Carlos Gorostiza.
In 1954, she married Antonio Salazar who preceded her in death. They moved from Edcouch to Ralls, Texas for farming opportunity. She is survived by her 3 sons (Richardo, Robert, and Randy Salazar) and 5 beautiful daughters (Rosalinda, Norma, Silvia, Amelia and Candy). Her Son Tony Salazar preceded her in death. She is also survived by her grandchildren who she raised (Bobby Joe Salazar and Kimberly Salazar).
Juanita had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who made her proud. She was also proud of all her children. She asked that her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow to live happy lives and to trust in the Lord. Juanita professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Catholic Church.
"We remember our beloved as a broken clay pot. She was one of those clay pots and she was broken. While her clay pot was broken by her weaknesses, something was shining through. It was treasure. Please focus on the good memories, when Juanita was in a better place. She was a mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who was taken from this world. I remember when she made homemade tortillas for everyone during dinner time."
