Juan Jose Zundt, 71, of Crosbyton passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015. He was born on March 10, 1944 in Asherton, Texas to Jose and Leonor (Sanchez) Zundt. He married Teresa Rodriguez on April 17, 1966 in Crosbyton. Juan enjoyed cooking on his grill, especially cooking brisket. He treasured spending time with his family, especially the times spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juan was lovingly known as Grandpa Rabbit to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Leonor.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa of Crosbyton; his daughter; Melva Jackson and husband Steve of Stedman, N.C.; two sons; Johnny Zundt and wife Norma of Crosbyton; Corey Zundt and wife Robbie of Odessa, TX; two brothers; Claude Zundt of Bakersfield, CA; Bobby Zundt of Garden City, KS; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held 7 pm on Thursday, December 10 at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Funeral mass will be held 2 pm Friday, December 11 at San Jose Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
