Jovita Rodriguez Cedillo passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in the early hours of March 11, 2018. Jovita had been battling Alzheimer's for several years. She was born February 4, 1934 in San Marcos Texas to Ignacio and Petra Torres Rodriguez. She married Leonardo A. Cedillo February 22, 1957 in Lubbock Texas. A wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, she loved to socialize and share her homemade goods with those she loved and cared for. Jovita, husband Leonardo, and family were longtime members of St. Michael's Catholic Church. In the church community she was a cursillista and a member of the women's group.

Jovita is survived by her husband of 61 years Leonardo Arevalo Cedillo of Ralls, her four daughters; Norma C Flores of Ralls, Rosalinda R Cedillo of Houston, Diana C Gaither and husband Thomas of Amarillo, and Julia C Grays and husband James of Amarillo and her only son Antonio Cedillo and wife Diana of Ralls. She also leaves behind a family of 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held 10: 00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday March 13 at the same church. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Flores, Andrew Flores, A. Jason Castillo, Jonathan Castillo, Nathan Law and Jose Cedillo.
