Jose Moreno, 88, of Crosbyton passed away peacefully, surrounded by family July 18, 2020. He was born August 2, 1931 in Mathis, Texas to Santos B. and Elena Ruiz Moreno.

Jose was a family man and embraced every moment with them, he especially loved his role as Popo. He loved the outdoors and going fishing. When indoors he preferred to be at Bingo or at the Casinos and when relaxing at home he enjoyed watching his favorite TV show Exaltone. Jose was a great man and will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maria, his parents, a sister, a brother, a grandson, and one great-grandson.

Those left to cherish his memories are, his daughter Yolanda Barrera and husband John of Kansas City, Missouri, his sons; Robert Moreno, Mario Moreno, Jose Moreno all of Crosbyton, three very special children that he raised as his own; Kayla, Austin and Christopher, four sister; Sally Guzman of Crosbyton, Gregoria Salas of Gerald, Teresa Carrion of Lubbock, Angie Farias and husband Jimmy of Burkburnett, 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
