John Raymond Taylor passed away Wednesday December 26, 2018 at his home in New York City, at the age of 77. John was born in Abilene, Texas to Dennis and Rachel McClure Taylor on September 10, 1941. He attended the Primitive Baptist Fellowship in NYC. A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 1st from 6-7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at the Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton, TX, officiated by Elder Tom Taylor, pastor, Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church.

John was a 1959 graduate of Crosbyton High School. He attended North Texas State where he received his B.A. degree and he was also a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He was an actor and had a beautiful voice. He had a great sense of humor; he was exceptionally intelligent and well read. John was always able to converse with anyone on any subject. He was a very unselfish person and always admitted to his faults and chose not to blame anyone else for his errors. John was very loved by all and will truly be missed.

John is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda, of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter Mary Jean McHugh, sons John McHugh and Joel Daniel Morrison, his brothers, Joe and Tom Taylor, and three grandchildren.
